Making Jam

To kick off our next writing unit about procedural writing, grade 1s made jam. Well, almost made jam. I think perhaps our chopping wasn't quite fine enough. So the jam is taking a bit longer to cook down that anticipated. We did get to write about the process using transition words like first, then, next and finally. Tomorrow we'll have apricot jam for snack! Yum!
